Prebuilt UIs ship faster than building on raw WebRTC, and the daily-js SDK is the cleanest abstraction in the category for "embed a video call in 5 minutes" use cases. Acquired strong AI-meeting-product brand recognition in 2024-2026 with their Pipecat framework for conversational AI. Trade-off: pricier per-minute than LiveKit at scale, and the prebuilt-UI focus means more customization work for teams wanting fully custom interfaces.
